Fuel Up First with Breakfast Challenge

The Fuel Up First with Breakfast Challenge is a joint initiative of Superintendent Randy Dorn, the Washington State Dairy Council, Share Our Strength and Children’s Alliance. 

Superintendent Dorn is challenging all of Washington’s Schools to make changes to their school breakfast programs that increase school breakfast participation by 50% during the 2011-2012 & 2012-2013 school years.

School districts that make the greatest improvements will be recognized for their success and awarded cash prizes.

Districts are divided into three tiers. 
Each tier will receive two awards annually:

• Gold: $3,000
• Silver:$1,000
• There will also be three $500 super school awards given out the the school that increases participation the most.  Schools must register to be in the running for the super school prize.
